RULES
Tournament Format
4 game guarantee (See tournament rule)
70 Minute pool play (Drop Dead)
75 minute bracket play (no new inning after 75 minutes and the inning will be finished if necessary)
Run Limit rule is 12 after 3, 10 after 4, and 8 after 5
Single elimination on Sunday
Top 2 teams in each pool will be placed in Division A
Third and Fourth place teams will be placed in Division B
Team trophies will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division
Pool Tiebreakers:
1. Record (Winning pct, number Wins)
2. Head-to-Head (Used only when all tied teams have played each other)
3. Points Allowed (An average is used if teams have not played an equal number of games)
4. Points Scored (An average is used if teams have not played an equal number of games)
5. Computer Generated Coin Flip (A system random number generator breaks ties at this stage)
Note: If the system cannot break ties at a particular tiebreaking stage, the system will
move to the next tiebreaker and not return or revert back to a previous tiebreaker.
Note about the Head-to-Head tiebreaker: Head-to-Head is ignored if all tied teams do not play
each other at least once. For example, if three teams are tied, and one team plays the other two, but
the other two do not play, this tiebreaker is ignored (regardless of the outcome of the two games
played by the first team).
Note If you are playing in a Path Play Pool or Compass Pool, this means you are in a pool with four
teams, and the format follows a mini bracket structure. After the first round of pool games, the two
winning teams play each other, and the two losing teams also face off. Final standings are determined
based on the outcomes of these second games. The winner of the "Winner vs. Winner" game is awarded
1st place, while the loser takes 2nd place. The winner of the "Loser vs. Loser" game earns 3rd place,
and the loser of that match finishes in 4th place..
